Dynasty is classed as bulky, it's a woven boucle. I don't know what the woven part is, it's new to me. I wonder if Homespun would sub OK.

Thank you so much GrumpyGramma, I'm going back to the store today and I know that they have Homespun. I'll check it out and maybe just give it a try. Thanks for being there in my time of need.

I'm guessing at it subbing OK. I wouldn't buy up a bunch before I tried it. Let us know how it works out, OK?

bon jour fellow knitters!
Hello and howdy! Clairebear63 here. I've been knitting for about 11 years now and I have visited your site as a guest. Awesome site I must say. I finally decided to join because I've started on my knitting bucket list. SOCKS! Very scary! Like I said I've been knitting for a while but I'm self taught so there's a lot of things I don't know how to do. Socks being just one of them. So I thought what better place to get help?

Welcome clairebear! Happy to have you join us. There are many, very experienced sock knitters here so I'm sure you'll have plenty of help and advice.

Hi, I've been reading for a few days, now, and decided to join.
you knitters have LOTS of interesting things going on, and I've downloaded a couple of patterns. (like I NEED more projects).

For this year, I've decided to learn to crochet, finally, and also to knit a pair of slouchy socks to lounge around in.
Everyone needs a goal in life, right? :D

Welcome! You're right, you can never have enough patterns. I like your goals for the year too. Good luck with them.
