Hi, Ginjan, can't figure out how to reply to your pm, as it only gives options I do not need, so I'll reply here, which I think is the regular board.

Nice to hear about your hats. I think I will begin knitting some toys this week, tubular as far as I can. the hardest part for me is getting the faces right. Even if I copy an image, they sometimes look downright menacing. Can't have that in a toy, unless it is the Tasmanian devil, eh?

Now thinking about starting something and actually starting it are often slow moving processes, but best to start at the beginning, I suppose, which is to check my yarn stash. That should keep me busy for a while. Hope I don't forget what I am checking for.

Hi Tinknat, well something must have gone wrong and maybe I clicked on the wrong thingy because I didn't try to P.M you
Anyway good luck with your toy making, have you made any rainbow babies? So simple but littles love them. You can find them in a Jean Greenhowe knitting toys book, I found mine on Amazon at a good price. I have just finished knitting a scarf with ruffle yarn, had to google a video to learn how to do it Happy knitting Jan

Have done many Jean Greenhowe dollies. Think I might design my own this time, haven't really decided yet. Love the ruffle scarves, they do dress up a plain winter coat so well, and the lighter weight yarns still look good on spring and summer tops.

My next project is to knit the Brownie dolly in the Jean Greenhowe book for my new great grandie Lilly, she is only 6 weeks old, but her Mummy is a brownie leader, so when Lilly is old enough to be a brownie she'll have her very own play mate, I'll probably get asked to make more for her brownie friends. Do you crochet ? I do but prefer knitting. The other things I've been knitting are 'Twiddle Muffs' for dementia patients , I donate them to a local care home.

My name is Jenn, and I've been knitting since 2010. If I have a spare moment, I'm usually knitting.

Besides knitting, I'm a hobbyist photographer and hoop dancer.
