Hi all
I'm new to knitting and so glad I've found this forum. I've just started a knitting class offered in our little village and am so enjoying it and look forward to moving beyond rectangles

So I'm new to knitting still. I've tried to knit a few years ago but gave up, now I'm going at it again and doing better at it. I picked it up again because it helps with my anxieties and that's always a plus.

My name is Ken. I am 3/4 century old and my son asked me to knit a scarf for him.
I have been crocheting blankets for about a month now and have relearned what I knew many years ago. Now I must relearn what my mom taught me over 60 years ago. My needles and yarn should arrive in a few days.
We live in the Phillipines and it never gets cold here so I asked him why he wanted it. He said it would make him look macho. He also said he wanted something to pass down to his son.
My son is only 11.
