Help with drops tunic with raglan sleeves and cable pattern

Hi,
I would really appreciate some help with this pattern. I am new to knitting and just learning but I have started this pattern and have not done so bad so far. But I'm a little confused with the pattern as it says 'inc 1 stitch in next 2 stitches (I got that part) and k all 4 sts'
how do I do the increase then the k???? Have I misunderstood what it is telling me to do????

Please help as I don't want to have to give up when I am so close to finishing the garment.

It's possible that from now on you knit those 4 stitches. Do you have a link to the pattern?

Hi Ingrid, this is the link. The part I'm at now is the yoke part it starts as *p1, inc 1 st in next st and k both sts, etc. http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/pa...d=4255&lang=us
I usually crochet and don't have problems following instructions.

OK, you're setting up this round so you can follow the chart for the next round. When you increase in the next 1 (or 2) stitches, increase knitwise, ie. knit into the front and back of the stitches to make the increase(s). This sets them up as knit stitches.

They do make it confusing, though!
