Need help with Poncho
Hi, I am new to knitting so forgive me. I am having quite a problem with a knitting pattern. It is a poncho. The pattern had me make the front and the back seperate and then I have to put both pieces together on one needle. I am using a circular needle to make sure all the pieces could fit. Now if you see below:

Poncho Knitting Instructions
"Slip all sts on the same circular needle and continue in the round. Insert 1 marker at beg of round and 1 after half the sts (to mark the sides). Continue to dec mid front and mid back as before."

As mentioned above, I am not sure if I should knit the front and back of poncho pieces together to make one piece?

Sleeves
"Worked in the round. Sew the garter st at the bottom of back and front piece tog with a couple of sts each side (sleeve edge now has a circumference of approx 24-26-30 cm / 9½"-10 1/4"-11 3/4"). Pick up 44-48-52 sts round sleeve edge on double pointed needles size 4 mm / US 6 with 2 strands Alpaca. P 1 round and continue in rib, K2/P2, on all sts. When rib measures 12 cm / 4¾'' bind off with K over K and P over P"

Then where does the sleeves go? (see above) I am doing "Drops Knitting Poncho" pattern number 123-28.

Please help!

Thank you!

OK, you have the front and back on the same needle and you're ready to join to work as one piece. Take you working yarn and continue knitting front and back in the round. This will join the two pieces together from here on up to the neck.
For the sleeves, you've already done some increases by casting on sts at the ends of rows on the front and back. Join those areas together to form the sleeve opening. Then you'll pick up sts around the opening for the ribbed cuff. It's not a distinct sleeve, really just an opening with a ribbed cuff.
It is indeed a very pretty pattern.
