how to make this pattern

Hi everyone!

Firstly, I would like to say that I don't knit but my Mom does, but she does not speak English so I have to post the questions here

Secondly, we need help in "solving" this pattern or making something similar to it. Maybe someone already knows it, and would like to help us.

They look like 3D rhomboids and I would like to ware something like that and my mom has the time and will to make me a jumper All we need is the pattern. She already tried something, but it looked more like squares and they weren't "poping out" enough (although she says it is cuz she used thin wool). We will keep trying on our own, but if anyone can help us - please do.

So it's not the sweater pattern, but the stitch itself that's in the sweater?
