Knitting vs crochet

Hi! I'm new here

I was wondering if it's possible to follow a crochet pattern by changing it to knitting. I wanted to do a Sackboy I found a good crochet pattern but I want to knit it. I tried a couple of time but it's so small and tight that I just can't do it. Maybe my needles are too big.... ? I don't know

They aren't really interchangeable because the stitch size is too different.
