Abbreviation

I really hope that you can help me with this. I’m knitting some Kilt Socks from the book ‘stitch style Socks’ the pattern is by Sian Luyken I’ve knit the sock and am doing the cuff. Abbreviation says p2left K2 p2right.
Have you any idea what this means I’ve checked through the book but I can’t find it anywhere.

I saw your post on ravelry this morning. I guess it wasn't left twist and right twist, eh? Contact the designer and ask her, or see if there's errata for that book with corrections for that pattern.
