I just read about the new "Six for Six" campaign on the Warm Woolies website here: http://www.warmwoolies.org/project.html
Just make SIX items for a 6-year old for their charity. The items need to be made with wool yarn (at least 80% wool fiber in the yarn). They are asking for long-sleeved sweaters, vests and socks that would fit a six year-old child. The chest measurement for sweaters and vests is at least 26" and the heel to toe length for socks is 6".
There are free patterns available on their website.
All six pieces must be sent together in one box to:
Warm Woolies
5572 E. Mansfield Ave.
Denver, CO 80237
Pieces must be received by September 21, 2009.
They are sending prizes to everyone that participates!
Prizes, consisting of new yarn, needles, patterns and books, will be mailed the last week of September.
It's a worthy charity, that benefits orphans in poverty-stricken areas all over the world, including the US.
