I am doing the haiku cardigan from knitty, it is my first sweater, and I am wondering if I can cast both sleeves on at once. I am using a long circular needle, so there would be room, but how do I go about the actual knitting and casting on? I guess I separate the wool into two balls, and use one for each sleeve?

I haven't been on the forum for a long time, and have been knitting this one little cardigan for over a year!! Just about to finish the main body of it though, hence the sleeve question...

thank you so much, this forum really helped me get started as well as teach my children to knit.

Sure you can! You're right, use a separate ball for each sleeve.

If you needle is long enough you could knit your sleeves in the round using the magic loop. I always do my sleeves and right and left front pieces at the same time.

I use the Magic Loop method to make both sleeves at the same time. That way, when they're done, they're done, and they match, mistakes and all.
