Hello, I am new to knitting and haven't been able to take the class yet wherein I learn to knit in the round. I am knitting a hat from an in the round pattern and have been able to understand everything up to where I am now, which is the decreasing portion. I am following a 1/1 ribbing and have been *P1, K1* each row. The decrease portion of the pattern reads as follows:
(Remember to start with a P st.)
Rnd 1: *Rib 6 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 2 (and all even rnds): K the K sts & P the P sts as they face you
Rnd 3: *Rib 5 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 5: *Rib 4 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 7: *Rib 3 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 9: *Rib 2 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 11: *Rib 1 in established pat, K2tog* around
Rnd 13: *K2tog* around
I am on the first row of the decrease and am completely stumped as to what I am supposed to do. Any help people can volunteer is MUCH appreciated!! I will be learning to knit with circs at the end of the month but need to finish this hat next weekend.
Thanks!!!!!
Gretchen
