I'm working on my first sweater - Feb Lady Sweater. I'm stuck where it says "Continue to work in garter until when you try it on, the sleeve stitches almost meet under your arms.
Ok, I give. Is it both sides of the sleeve and should the back and front meet under the arm or at the top or what?
I tell ya, I'm learning a foreign language here :teehee:
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm making it, too. Have to frog back a bit though. :hair: Anyhoo..from what I read it means when the back and front at the increase line..when it almost meets means about 1 inch or so.

I made this sweater last Christmas for my grandaughter. They mean to try on the yoke and see if you can make what are going to be the underarms almost meet under your arms. This might seem tight, but you're going to CO some more to the body to go under the arms for the sleeves. I have a hint for you about the sleeves too. You can use a 16-inch circular instead of the awkward 12-inch. And I made the smallest size for her 33" bust and it didn't stretch out at all. She's a young Mom and doesn't need the encumbrance of those long floppy sleeves. The nice thing about the sleeves is that your alternate rows are knits, not purls. :-) I also made the sleeves end just above the elbow because it seemed like a springtime sweater to me. If I ever make this sweater again, I'll substitute M1's for the eyelets in the yoke. Good luck!

Thank you both for your insight! My daughter weighed in on this as well (she's the one that got me started with this lovely obession!) and I think I have it. I need to do more last buttonhole then I'm going to put in waste and try it on.

What yarn are you all using? this is on my 'to do soon' project list and I just can't decide what yarn to use.
