So I am knitting a scarf in the plain garter stitch but I am having a problem my work keeps twisting and I have watched some of the videos but i cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

What do you meen by twisting? which bits are twisting in which direction.

Twisting or curling is normally associated with stockinette stitch (alternate rows of knit and purl) rather than garter (knit every row)

How wide is the scarf? Some narrow ones tend to twist, or you may be knitting tightly, or it could be the yarn. If the yarn is anything but acrylic, try blocking it (now, still on the needles) and see if that helps.

thanks for the help...the scarf is pretty narrow only 3 to 4 inches wide and its in the plain garter stitch for some reason it only seems to be the cast on end that is twisting kind of like a corkscrew just not as severe...
