Has anyone looked at this pattern yet? I am working merrily along, and it says "4DCTOG over next 4 dc's". I know what the 4DCTOG is, but does it mean IN each of the next 4 dcs? What does it mean by "over"?

I'm very new to crochet, so can you explain what you did? This is like learning a whole new language. I think dc is double crochet, right? So is the TOG a decrease?

Yes, TOG will give you a decrease.
