how do I increase stitches at the end of a row, I am adding a tab for a button and need to add on 6 stitches at the end of the row while ribbing?

Have you tried casting on at the end of the row? It usually works for me.

For increasing more than one stitch at the beginning or end of a row, you'd cast on using either knitted or cable co.
