I am making Eunny Jang's anemoi mittens, attempting chart reading and two color stranded knitting for the first time! I am about to begin the chart part (cuff almost done) and it says " first four chart rows should be worked as slip-stitch rounds, use only one strand of specified yarn. Round 1: Chart Row 1: Using CC only,*k33, sl-1wyib, repeat from * once more. Round 2: Using CC only , k2, pm, k1, thumb gore st, pm, K30, sllwyib, k33, sllwyib. I have two questions...What does it mean to "work as a slip stitch round"? And if I only use the contrast color for two whole rounds, how do I carry the other color along? Help! Sally

The directions have slipped stitches in them--they are the slipped stitch rounds.

Just bring the yarn up from where it is. You don't have to do anything special.
