I need help...arrgh

Hi all,

I know that you ladies and gentleman are a very knowledgable bunch of people. I am hoping that someone is able to help me.

I really want to make the Knitting Needle Knitting bag from Knitting Daily.

I think the bag is really cute. I have started knitting it and have had to frog it three times because I seem to be having trouble with the berry stitch. By the time I get to the 3rd row, I don't have enough stitches on the needle to complete the pattern on that row. I can't seem to figure it out. I think I might be doing the k1,p1,k1 into the next stitch wrong, but I can't even be sure.

Can someone please help me? I really would like to make this bag.

When you do the kpk into one stitch, you should end up with 3 stitches instead of 1. Knit into the stitch, but don't slide it off, bring the yarn between the needles and purl into it, again not sliding it off, then put the yarn to the back and knit into it again, then slide it off.

Yeah, that's what I am doing. The second row is all purl so I am purling all the stitches. When I get to the 3rd row (pattern row) there is not enough stitches to complete the pattern.

3rd row K2, *p3tog, k1,p1,k1 into next st, *repeat to last 2 stitches, K2

When I reach the end of the 3rd row, I don't have 2 stitches left to k2 so I don't know where I am going wrong.....:pout::pout::pout:

:?? The math works out for the pattern.

k2 (4 x 19 = 76) k2 = 80

Do you have 80 on row 2?
