Okay, I'm working on a sweater. I've picked up the sleeve stitches on DPNs and where it said to place a marker would be right in the armpit. But I didn't acutally put a marker because that's where the stitches are divided between 2 of the needles at the armpit.
Anyway, now I'm to decrease 2 stitches every 5 rounds. So I would knit five rounds, then k2tog twice - once on each of the armpit needles?
Does that sound right?

Yes, but you might want to leave a stitch on the end of each needle and dec before one and after the other.
This creates sort of a false seam, and avoids a lumpy seam.
I'd work to the last 3 stitches, ssk, k2, k2tog.

ah-ha! okay. Thanks.
Sorry, I'm a newbie so I still need clarification. Since it's decrease every 5th row, would I actually start this at the end of row4 and beginning of row 5?
Or would it be end of row 5, beginning of row 6?

Sounds right to me.

Or on row 5 you could start k1, k2tog, work to last 3 stitches of row 3, ssk, k1.

perfect!
Thank you so much! It would just kill me to let this project sit until Tuesday when my LYS is open again! This is such a great place to get help!!
