Arkansas Beginners out there? Fort Smith area??

Hi ya'll! Looking for some Fort Smith, AR knitters, or at least in the vacinity of Fort Smith. I actually live in Charleston, AR just to the east of Fort Smith 25 miles. But I would love to "hook" up with some knitters who are beginners or even better some that are expert knitters to show me the ropes!
I've been a beginner for a short time, but If I don't have some hands on help I think I'll quit. It looks so easy when others do it, I need a patient teacher! ha ha!
