I'm working my first pair of gloves, and I'm wondering if there is a better way to CO the required additional stitches for each finger. The way I'm doing it creates a length of yarn behind the stitches that tends to get in my way. I've been using the method shown on this site as "knitting on." Does anyone have any suggestions as to a better method, or is this just the way it's done?

Thanks for your help!

What you can try is to cast on an extra stitch, and then knit 2 together where that gap is.

Thank you very much! That worked perfectly.
