I bought 8 or 9 skeins of Lion Brand Suede on clearance for $2 each a few weeks ago. It's in olive, or maybe it's a really dark sage. Anyway, it's a perfect compliment to my couch & chair so I want to make a lapghan - I know it's no where near enough for a regular sized afghan.
I started out making on that's supposed to be 40 inches wide (if my guage is right) and is in a sort of lacy pattern that I got from testing the left-needle stitch markers. The problem is that I do NOT like how the pattern looks in the suede. :( I'm going to frog it (all 10 inches :( ), but I can't find a pattern online that uses a bulky weight yarn for a lapghan.
I want something other than straight garter or st. st (even with a border). Any suggestions? I don't mind modifying a pattern if I need to, but I just can't find anything!!
