changing needles

does anyone have a trick for changing to larger needles? Right now I'm running a piece of string through the loops before I slide the needle off, so there's no chance of loosing a loop. This whole process takes forever, though. Any ideas?

Just knit from the smaller needles onto the larger ones. :D

Just knit it onto the new needles. It's a lot easier that way!
