Hi all! I have recently become obsessed with making my two year old son and his baby brother/sister (to be born on Friday) matching sweaters for them to wear for a portrait at some future date -- it may be a spring sweater, but I'm thinking that realistically, they will be sweaters for this fall... I THINK that will give me enough time to get them both knit! At any rate, I've decided that I really like this sweater http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/kce-stripedCardigan.html?noImages= (hope the link works), but, of course, the yarn is discontinued... I was thinking that I might make it in Plymouth Encore, which seems to be pretty well liked on this forum, and also has the added benefit of being washable. The gauge seems compatible with the cotton-ease specified in the pattern, too. My only question is whether or not it will work since the fiber content is so dissimiliar. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!
