Ingrid,
I did my swatch and my increases look fine. I think perhaps they look a little less polished on the turkish c.o.. I just need to practice.

Sock knitters---What do you think?
This is my 1st sock (well, second attempt on 2 circs. couldn't figure out how to complete the gusset without a pattern)

Now I have patterns and can't decide which I should go with. Toe up http://www.hellchick.net/ or Bordi's turning the toe. MY goal is to use one pattern over and over til' I really understand the construction.

Or Would a heel down be a better choice

thanks,
knitbebe

I have only done top down, on DPN's, so am not the best one to answer your questions....

knitty.com has a tiny little "training sock" that could be made in pairs for babie booties. It has everything that a big sock has, but you use less yarn and less time so that if you mess up you haven't invested as much as you would have in a big sock.
