This is my finished baby set- it was a gift for my chiropractor and his wife. Doesn't it figure? Their baby is due the week before mine (April 10th!!) and although I am currently knitting my 4th sweater set- this one isn't for our little one either! (although I did mange to make one for my dd!!) It seems everyone I know is getting ready for a new arrival!
The proud new owner of this set said they are planning to take their baby boy home from the hospital in this very set... :cheering:
kinda makes me proud too...

Now that's extra special. It's so nice to know that the recipient is truely appreciative of a gift from the heart (and fingers).

Thank you for all the kind words!
Amber- it was a FREE pattern! It is a variation of the 5hr baby sweater-by Lorraine Majors. Super easy and super fun! (Can you tell? I am on #4!)
Lana- I know! I was touched...

I love that sweater! :cheering: So did it actually take you around 5 hours to knit? How big of a baby does it look like it would fit?

Thank you soooooo much! You guys are too nice!
Yes, I have been quite the busy "knitwit" as dh calls me... :XX:
The pattern is here

for the sweater- It is so easy!
Just follow the pattern... As for the time, it takes me about a week for the whole set. I imagine it would be only 5hrs if I could knit without any interuptions; I have to knit either before 2.5yrold dd wakes or after her bedtime. (I would knit during her nap but lately I need that nap just as much as her!)
As for the size, its more a 3-6 month size than a newborn. Maybe a little bigger, sorry I don't have any clothes around to compare it to.
I hope you get to knit it- it is a fun one!

I love the yarn you chose, such a pretty blue! I wish my brothers and their wives would get around to having kids so I could make them something. Heck, I guess that I could and just keep it for when they do!
