Substituting yarn

I want to knit the sweater on the Berroco sit that calls for Linet yarn, but the site says the yarn is discontinued. How do I know the best yarn to substitute? I really like that simple cardigan and it might be the one I need to try for my first garment.

Maybe you can put in the features of that yarn and get a substitute here. Elann has pretty good prices, too.
