I'm new to knitting and have graduated from a scarfe to a knitted tote bag. It says, "sew on straps". Do I do this on the sewing machine?

Nope, use a big fat yarn or darning needle (plastic, with an eye big enough to drive a truch through).. Just thread with the yarn you've been using and sew away!

I just did that but didn't have a plastic yarn needle yet (going to get it later today, but I was too lazy to go out when I needed it) So....I just used my crochet needle to pull the thread in and out...same as sewing. A little slower, but it worked fine.
