Howdy, newbie to knitting here using the continental style. I'm working on a 2x2 ribbed scarf. (Just a practice piece.) I've gotten about 6-8 rows completed. The purl stitches are working fine, but it seems that each time I get to the knit stitches the leading edge of the yarn is tilted the opposite direction from the last practice piece I did (all knit stitches all rows). This makes it more difficult to pick up that stitch on the righthand needle. Am I doing some thing wrong? The ribbing is starting to look like ribbing (although larger than usual because of the size 13 needles I am using). Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

That's pretty normal, and as long as the sts look okay it should be fine.

THANK You! I've been pulling what little hair I have left out over this one. All of a sudden the purls were easier than the knits and yesterday it was most definately the other way round.
Thanks again!
